Ukrainian Muslims Celebrate End Of Ramadan

From 5 to 7 December 2002, Muslim communities in Ukraine observed Id al Fitr, also know by the Turkish name “Uraza-Bairam,” a feast that marks the end of the Ramadan fast. The festivities in Kyiv began with group prayer, after which the faithful gathered greeted each other on the end of the fast. “During this month, Muslims strengthen their faith… Today, we will make a conclusion after our prayer together,” said Suleiman Yakubovych Mukhamedzianov, mufti of the Muslim Spiritual Center of Ukraine.
