Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate Receives Permission for Construction of Resurrection Cathedral

KYIV - On July 7, at the residence of Metropolitan Volodymyr at the Kyiv Cave Monastery, the primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) received the Conclusion of the State Expertise and the Permission for Construction of the Resurrection Cathedral of the UOC.   

According to the website of the UOC-MP, the documents were handed to Metropolitan Volodymyr respectively by head of the Central Service of the State Investment Expertise of Ukraine Volodymyr Ampilohov and deputy head of the Department of the State Architectural Construction Control Oleh Bushovskyi.   

Expressing gratitude to the heads of the state institutions the archpastor wished them further productive work and marked them with the orders of the Holy Great Martyr George the Trophy-Bearer.   

According to Volodymyr Ampilohov, following the comprehensive expertise of the buildings of the cathedral and its adjoining administrative buildings, the respective documents were issued, which marks the full-fledged and legal beginning of the construction of the cathedral.
