The Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate on 20 December decreed to open three new monasteries.

According to its Journals, the synod gave its blessing for the opening of Predtecha Skit of St. Iversk Odesa Men’s Monastery in the village of Lozove of Rozdilnianskyi District of Odesa Region, St. Michael Women’s Monastery in Zaporizhzhia and a Stavropigeon women’s Monastery of St. Oleksandr Nevskyi in the village of Horodno of Luboml District of Volyn Region.
