The UOC-MP defined as "manipulation" the words of the Minister of Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina in an interview with the Estonian newspaper Postimees that the Russian Federation uses the Russian Orthodox Church to spread its propaganda in Ukraine and conduct an information war.

The UOC-MP accused the Minister of inciting religious hatred and stated: “Laputina has repeatedly distinguished herself with her opuses with offensive content against the UOC believers, reflecting on topics on which she has no competence.”

"The minister of Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina in an interview with the Estonian newspaper Postimees accused the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (calling it the Russian Orthodox Church) of spreading propaganda. At the same time, the high-ranking official did not provide any facts and resorted to manipulation herself, thus inciting the public against the largest denomination in Ukraine, grossly inciting religious hatred.

She has stated that Russia uses the Russian Orthodox Church as its tool in Ukraine (this is how, despite the legally fixed name, the official prefers to call the Ukrainian Orthodox Church), the official website of the UOC MP reports.
