UOC MP in Crimea no longer shows affiliation to the Church in Ukraine

Even the forms of official documents simply indicate “Moscow Patriarchate” without mentioning Ukraine.

A document confirming this is published on the "Invaders in Cassocks” page on Facebook, reports Religiyna Pravda.

“If Muscovites say that they are a “Ukrainian Church”, then show them this document. The Muscovites no longer even mention Ukraine therein, but simply the “Moscow Patriarchate”. This is the “anticanonical occupation Church in Ukraine” as such," the post says.

As RISU has reported, after the annexation of Crimea, the inscriptions "UOC-MP" immediately began to disappear on churches. Some of them say "Moscow Patriarchate".

"Yes, there are no identification marks on St. Volodymyr's Cathedral in Chersonesos, and on the new Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Sevastopol it is written that it belongs to the Simferopol and Crimean Diocese of the Moscow Patriarchate," the report says.

It is noted that on the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Diocese of Simferopol is listed as part of the Russian Orthodox Church.

At the same time, the website of the Diocese of Simferopol and Crimea does not specify its membership in the UOC-MP. However, the website still refers to the decision of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church MP.
