Metropolitan Mark (Petrovtsii) of Khust UOC-MP has warned priests that those who sign a letter demanding a break from the Russian Orthodox Church will be suspended from their ministry.

According to Mukachevo.net, Father Andrii Pinchuk, one of the initiators of the letter to UOC-MP's leader, Metropolitan Onufriy, made a post on his Telegram channel regarding the effective break of ties with the Russian Orthodox Church that the pressure on priests who dared to sign the letter is intensifying. By the order of Metropolitan Mark of Khust, all Zakarpattia priests who signed the letter have been warned of an inevitable prohibition.

It is noted that the church leadership, with the help of its pro-Moscow lobby, is "pressuring all pro-Ukrainian clergy in the UOC." The intention seems to be to retain only those who have affection for the Russian Empire and echo its sentiments, according to Father Andrii's statement.
