During that week the US official meets with UOC-KP Primate Patriarch Filaret at his residence, the UAOC Primate Metropolitan Makariy, UOC Chancellor Metropolitan Anthony, archbishop emeritus of UGCC Lubomyr Husar, the Institute of Religious Freedom reports.
During the meetings in Ukraine Dr. Shaun Casey told about the activities of the Office for Religious Communities Initiatives, established in the US State Department in August 2013. Participants discussed the inter-confessional situation in Ukraine, the state of church-state relations, religious aspects of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine, violations of the rights of believers in the occupied Ukrainian territories of Crimea and Donbas.
