Wonderworking Icon of the Mother of God of Bethlehem to Arrive to Kyiv

On March 11 hegumen Arkadii Demchenko of the UOC-MP met with Patriarch Theophilus III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and Archbishop Theophilus of Bethlehem.

JERUSALEM-KYIV – On March 11, 2010, in Jerusalem, hegumen Arkadii Demchenko of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), member of the working group to organize the bringing to Ukraine of the Wonderworking Icon of the Mother of God of Bethlehem, met with Patriarch Theophilus III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and Archbishop Theophilus of Bethlehem, reports the web site of UOC-MP.

In the course of meeting the parties agreed on bringing this wonderworking image to Ukraine.

Thus, the shrine will be delivered to Kyiv on the Great Saturday April 3 and that day it will stay at the Holy Dormition of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, following which from April 4 to 10 the icon will be available at the Church of All Saints (Zaliznychne shosse, 3).
