All the Jews in Ukraine, from Lviv to Donbas, are a Ukrainian social force, they are concerned for the fate of the state, its integrity and are fighting for it in the ranks of the Ukrainian army, Yaakov Dov Bleich, Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine, said in his interview to Radio Liberty.

"Jews in Ukraine are part of Ukrainian society, of an integral Ukraine. They never try to be out of society niether in good times nor in bad times," he said.

"So Jews were on the Maidan, and there are Jews who are now fighting and help the Ukrainian Army and Ukraine to restore its sovereignty and integrity," said the rabbi.

"Jews cannot be separated from Ukrainians, because they all are fighting for a sovereign and integral Ukraine, and I want to say that all Jews in Ukraine, from the city of Lviv to Donbas, are a Ukrainian social force. For Jews, like other Ukrainian citizens, are now also experiencing a difficult time in Donbas. All Jews and Ukrainians, together, want to keep Ukraine and make it much better," said Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich.
