President Yanukovych instructed the head of the Security Service of Ukraine to thoroughly check the facts mentioned in the public statement of the rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Fr. Borys Gudziak, Ph.D.
KYIV – Anna Herman, the deputy head of the presidential administration, reported to UNIAN that President Viktor Yanukovych instructed the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Valerii Khoroshkovskyi, to thoroughly check the facts mentioned in the public statement of the rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Fr. Borys Gudziak, Ph.D.
“The head of the state calls to treat all questions regarding observation of human rights and democratic principles and standards with full responsibility,” she stated.
“Yanukovych is convinced that absolutely all law enforcement bodies should strengthen the power of the law in the country, promote law and order, and prevent any pressure on the rights and freedoms of people,” added Herman.
