Russian mercenary Alexander Zakharchenko opposes the creation of the Local Church in Ukraine. According to him -- with arms in his hands -- he will not allow the creation of such a Church on his “own” territory.

This is reported by Press of Ukraine.

Alexander Zakharchenko, the leader of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic's militants, spoke at a briefing in occupied Donetsk. In particular, he commented on granting independence to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the Moscow Patriarchate.

According to the terrorist, Ukraine is fueling a “new religious war.” He also stressed that he would not allow this in the territory of the DPR.

“I strongly oppose this situation, because I believe that the creation of the UOC will lead to the intensification of the religious war,” Zakharchenko said.

In addition, he accused Andriy Parubiy, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Oleksandr Turchinov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, in a new potential war waged by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“You know, both Baptist Turchinov and the Greek Catholic Parubiy are lobbying this measure very much, hoping that the creation of the Local Church will lead to further zombification of the Ukrainian population ... I remind you that in 2014 we stood up with weapons in hands to protect the Russian language, our faith, freedom and we will not tolerate any religious war on their territory. If it is necessary - even by taking up weapons,” he said.
