A petition has been registered on the website of the President's Office demanding that the First Deputy head of the President's Office, Serhiy Trofimov, be dismissed.

The authors of the petition point out that Trofimov should be dismissed because "his tenure threatens national interests, creates prerequisites for strengthening the influence of the aggressor state and does not contribute to the establishment of an atmosphere of religious tolerance and mutual understanding in the country."
Ukrainian media reported that Trofimov, a former producer of the 95th quarter who does not hide his sympathies for the Russian Church, is the curator of processes in the religious sector in Zelensky's Office.
Earlier, Trofimov got into a scandal with the Secretary of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese, Archimandrite Nikita of the UOC MP. The latter met with the First Deputy Chairman of the OP under the walls of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration and asked to "assist" in relations with representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The Archimandrite of the UOC-MP began to complain about the actions of the OCU representatives. In response to this, Trofimov said: "We will do everything to stop it, fix it."
First Deputy Head of the President's Office Trofimov promised to personally study the facts of re-registration of churches of the UOC in Bukovyna.
Subsequently, Trofimov, during a conversation with a journalist and businessman Dmytro Gordon, said that the previous government discredited millions of Ukrainians by interfering in the Affairs of religion and imposing a particular point of view.
Trofimov specified said that he considers the head of the UOC MP Onufriy a real monk who proved by his righteous life that he is worthy of being at the head of the Ukrainian Church.
