Donetsk Hermitage To Be Restored

The sections of the Dormition Hermitage of the Holy Hill in the city of Slovianohorsk, Donetsk region(eastern Ukraine), which were ruined during Soviet times are set to be restored. The reconstruction work is the result of a contest held under the direction of the regional office of city construction and architecture looking for the best ideas for development projects in the city. A group of architects was formed to work on new rebuilding plans. The news was announced by the press service of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate on 20 April 2002.
