10 Thousand Convicts Bow to Fragment of Holy Cross

Workers of the Synod’s Department of the Prison Ministry of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) together with members of the Transfiguration Brotherhood conduct a national religious procession throughout prisons.

Workers of the Synod’s Department of the Prison Ministry of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) together with members of the Transfiguration Brotherhood conduct a national  religious procession throughout prisons.

A fragment of the Holy Cross and relics of saints have already visited prisons in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Poltava regions. All in all, over 10000 convicts bowed to the shrines.

According to the web site of  UOC-MP, the clergymen serve prayer services, preach and distribute icons and spiritual literature during the action.
