Primate of Belarusian Orthodox Church awards protodeacon for service in war against Ukraine

Сьогодні, 14:48

During the evening service on July 12, the Primate of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, Veniamin, awarded Protodeacon Maxim Logvinov of Minsk the Order of St. Cyril of Turov.

This was reported by Christian Vision.

In 2023, Father Andriy Logvinov, the father of protodeacon Maxim Logvinov, revealed that, after returning to his hometown of Kostroma in 2022, his son had volunteered to take part in the "special military operation." Additionally, the priest noted that Metropolitan Veniamin, the Primate of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, had personally given his blessing for participation in the war. Following this announcement, church sources attempted to remove all references to the event. It remains unclear how long Maxim Logvinov served on the front lines.
