Yuri Klymko, a 58-year-old pastor of the Pentecostal "Church of Jesus Christ" in Kupiansk, who was killed yesterday as a result of shelling the city, became the 24th clergyman of the Ukrainian Church of the Evangelical Faith Christians killed by the Kremlin regime.

As reported by the website of the Ukrainian Church of the Evangelical Faith Christians, on February 28, Russians dropped a bomb on the center of Kupiansk and destroyed the UOC-KP prayer house, residential buildings, and a nearby café. Two civilians were killed in the attack, and five others were injured. One of those killed was Pastor Yuri Klymko.

According to the deputy senior presbyter of the Kharkiv regional association of the UOC-KP, Petro Loboyko, half an hour before the Russian attack, the morning prayer in the church had ended. At the time of the explosion, the pastor's wife was also in the church but was unharmed.

"Pastor Yuri and his team have been helping the military since the beginning of the war, serving as spiritual counselors and helping the families of ATO participants. He endured Russian occupation, served the local community a lot, and actively spread the Gospel," Pastor Loboyko attests."
