50 UAH coin minted on the occasion of Patriarch Bartholomew's visit to Ukraine in 2008 traded for USD 1000

In Ukraine, a 50-UAH coin is being auctioned off for as much as UAH 27 thousand. The commemorative banknote, which was released in 2008 on the occasion of the arrival of Patriarch Bartholomew I, caused real battles at the auction.

The coin is placed on the popular Ukrainian online auction site Violity. It is made of silver and has the following parameters:

o diameter - 8.5 cm;
o weight - 0.5 kg.

Only 1 thousand such coins were minted in Ukraine. Therefore, the piece can really be considered very rare.

The commemorative banknote features:

o Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, who visited Ukraine in 2008 to participate in the celebration of the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus;
o then-president of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.

The owner of the rarity claims that the coin is in perfect condition. In addition, it was not touched by the hands of restorers. The seller also indicates in the ad the available certificate with the technical data of the coin.
