Due to the quarantine imposed to curb the coronavirus spread this year, 7% of Ukrainians intend to go to church on Easter, and only 4% are willing to attend the liturgy. 64% intend to watch online the Paschal services, 31% do not. This is the data of the survey held by the Rating Group as of April 10-12, 2020, TSN reports.
The majority of those willing to personally participate in the Easter liturgies and blessings of Easter food belongs to the residents of the West, peasants, faithful of the UOC (MP) and the UGCC.
As regards the memorial days, 55% of respondents do not intend to go to cemeteries on memorial days. At the same time, 8% want to go to church on a day when the church performs worships, and 32% say they will go to cemeteries not on holidays but on other days when there are no people there.
Two-thirds of respondents rest the responsibility for introducing additional quarantine measures during the Easter holidays on the authorities (38% - on the local government, 34% - on the central government). Only 11% believe that the restrictions should be increased by church representatives.
Audience: Ukrainian population 18 years of age and older in all oblasts except the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative of age, gender and type of settlement. Survey Method: CATI (computer-assisted telephone interviews), based on a random sampling of mobile phone numbers. Sample population: 2000 respondents. The error of representativeness of the survey with a confidence probability of 0.95: not more than 2.2%. Dates: April 10-12, 2020.
