On the night of June 10, a Russian Armed Forces drone crashed onto the grounds of the New Life Protestant Church in Kyiv.

The community is part of the Council of Independent Evangelical Churches of Ukraine, led by Bishop Anatoly Kalyuzhny.

A recent crash caused a fire that resulted in minor damage to the buildings.

"Tonight was challenging for all of us Ukrainians, with hundreds of drones and missiles flying overhead. Frankly, on this very night, the New Life Church experienced a miraculous event,” Anatoliy Kalyuzhny shared. “A downed drone fell onto the church grounds, sparking a fire and causing damage. However, as the Ministry of Emergency Situations later discovered, something incredible occurred. Though the drone was ablaze, it did not explode; the explosive component failed to detonate. We are waiting for the explosives experts. Even in this situation, there is much for which to thank God!"
