A meeting of the delegation of the Orthodox Church in America with members of the Synod of the UOC-MP was held

On June 2, 2024, a meeting took place between the delegation of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), led by the Archbishop of Washington and Metropolitan of All America and Canada, Tikhon, and members of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), headed by Metropolitan Onuphriy.

The Information and Educational Department of the UOC-MP reported this during the meeting. The attendees discussed the development of the Orthodox mission both in Ukraine and on the American continent.

The American guests shared their impressions of the worship services and the extensive social activities conducted by the Eparchy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, as well as the UOC-MP as a whole.

Metropolitan Tikhon spoke about the results of fundraising efforts in OCA churches for the needs of church humanitarian missions in Ukraine, which amounted to over 2 million US dollars, making it the largest in the history of the Church.
