A rosary of a fallen soldier was gifted to the Pope

13 March, 13:46

At the end of the general audience, Pope Francis spoke about a special gift related to the war that he received in the morning.

This was reported by CREDO.

“Today I was brought a rosary and the Gospel of a young soldier who died on the front: he prayed with them. Many young people, numerous young people, go to their deaths! Let us pray to the Lord to grant us the grace to overcome this madness of war, which is always a defeat," said the pontiff.

However, the Pope did not specify which war the soldier died in or on whose side he fought, Vatican News notes.

"And please, let us remain steadfast in fervent prayer for those who suffer from the terrible consequences of war," the Pope urged.
