A Russian rocket completely destroyed the house of 70-year-old Baptist pastor Volodymyr Semenov, who continued to serve in the frontline city of Selydove, located 30 km from Avdiivka. The incident occurred overnight on January 15, 2024, during the shelling of the city.

This was reported by the "Christians Against War" Telegram channel.

The rocket demolished Semenov's house, where the church's gatherings and services were held in the second part of the building. These activities were separated by a thick meter-wide brick wall. Miraculously, the prayer house remained intact, with only minor damage aside from shattered windows and doors.

The pastor and his family spent that night outside their home, so they are all safe and unharmed. Volodymyr Semenov said, "Sportswear and a jacket. That's all that's left." However, he thanked God for sparing their lives and is already preparing for today's church service.
