A UGCC chaplain receives Presidential award

A UGCC priest Mykhailo Dzyuba is the administrator of the church of the Holy Entrance to the Temple of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Nyzhny Verbizh. From the beginning of the confrontation on the Independence Square (Maidan) and during the time of the Revolution of Dignity, the priest did not stand aside, reports the Department of Information of the UGCC.

From the beginning of the confrontation on the Independence Square (Maidan) and during the time of the Revolution of Dignity, the priest did not stand aside, reports the Department of Information of the UGCC.

Today, he continues to carry out pastoral ministry in the combat zone as a chaplain of the volunteer military unit “Black Hundred”.

Repeatedly, the priest collected charity assistance for the military and transported it to the east. And besides, Fr Mykhailo brings together young people, educating them in the principles of Christian morality and patriotic spirit.

On November 9, after the Liturgy in the Ivano-Frankivsk Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, the chaplain was conferred an award by the President of Ukraine “For humanitarian participation in the anti-terrorist operation”.

Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkov also granted him the medal “For honor and valor”.
