Adelaja Not Permitted to Leave Ukraine

Pastor of the Embassy of God, Sunday Adelaja, who is accused of organizing a criminal group, is not permitted to leave Ukraine before the completion of the investigation in the matter of Kings Capital Ltd, Ukrayinska Pravda reported with reference to the press-service of the Office of Public Prosecutor General.

“As Adelaja Sunkanmi Sunday is a citizen of Nigeria and holds a foreign passport, according to Article 98-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the Deputy Public Prosecutor General passed a resolution to prohibit him to leave Ukraine until the end of the pre-trial investigation,” reads the report.

Adelaja is a suspect in a criminal case of fraud and seizure of funds of over 2,000 victims to the amount of UAH 140 million.

As reported earlier, Adelaja may be sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment.
