Adventist Prayer House Burns Down in Donetsk Region

In the town of Yenakievo, Donetsk Oblast, on October 7, 2:30 am, a prayer house of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 178 Shcherbakova Street went up in flames.

In the town of Yenakievo, Donetsk Oblast, on October 7, 2:30 am, a prayer house of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at 178 Shcherbakova Street went up in flames. Pastor Viktor Tudan came to the place in an hour’s time and found there police and firemen.

The roof of the building burnt down and collapsed. The equipment and other church property was destroyed. There are no victims.

According to the website of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the cause of the fire is being established. The secretary of the Eastern Conference of Adventists, Viktor Antoniuk, came to the place.

Police officers reported that last August, the prayer houses of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Yenakievo and Debaltseve also went up in flames. And this night, the fire destroyed not only the Adventists’ building here but also two prayer houses of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Yenakievo and Vuhlehorsk.
