Alexander Stubb: “Technical” talks on ceasefire in Ukraine may take place in the Vatican next week

Technical negotiations between Ukraine and Russia may continue at the Vatican next week.

According to Ukrinform крінформ, this was stated by the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, answering questions from the media during a seminar in Helsinki, reports Yle.

“Previously, only the United States acted as an intermediary, but now Europe is also involved,” the president stated.

Stubb noted that technical-level talks are likely to continue in the Vatican next week.

According to the Finnish leader, the situation is progressing positively, as Europe hopes to participate in discussions about a ceasefire in Ukraine and the potential establishment of peace.
