Ambassador of Ukraine and Rector of the UGCC Church in Vilnius discuss the implementation of cultural and educational projects

On March 23, Ukrainian Ambassador to Lithuania, Volodymyr Yatsenkivsky, discussed topical issues of further cooperation with the rector of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Vilnius, father Mykola (Ruslan Kozelkovsky).

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania.

In particular, they discussed the organization and implementation of important projects in the educational and cultural spheres in the near future.

In addition, the interlocutors raised the issue of reconstruction of the building of the Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Moscow. Vilnius is the main center of spiritual life of representatives of the Ukrainian community of Lithuania.

The Embassy recalled that the Church of the Most Holy Trinity was built by the Grand Hetman of Lithuania, Ukrainian Prince Kostyantyn Ivanovich Ostrozhsky, in gratitude for the victory over the army of the Moscow principality in 1514 near Orsha.
