Ambassador of Ukraine thanks Church in Poland for supporting Ukraine

On February 26, 2026, Archbishop Tadeusz Wójda, the President of the Polish Episcopal Conference, met with Vasyl Bodnar, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland.

The Ukrainian ambassador expressed gratitude to the Church in Poland for its support for Ukraine, as reported by the Catholic magazine CREDO.

The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Polish Episcopal Conference in Warsaw. The ambassador thanked the Church for its solidarity, prayers, and humanitarian aid, particularly since the onset of Russia's aggression. He acknowledged the assistance extended to refugees in Poland and to those in need within Ukraine.

The President of the Polish Episcopal Conference assured the ambassador of the Polish Catholic community's unwavering support and closeness to the Ukrainian people.
