First Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov instructed the ministries to provide proper services to the pilgrims during the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus. According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this today while opening the Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

“Only a few days remain to the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus. This is a great holiday for Orthodox people. The Orthodox faith and Christian values ​​have always united Ukrainians and formed the foundation of statehood. The Orthodox faith and Christian values ​​have always united us. In the capital, there will be massive celebrations, which will be attended by thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. We need to welcome the guests in a highly organizationed manner,” said Arbuzov.

He recalled that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov instructed that the customs procedures at borders be simplified for the pilgrims.

“I instruct the Ministry of Infrastructure to help the capital’s authorities in providing transportation for the pilgrims, and the Ministry of Health to provide enough places in the ambulatory health care facilities,” said Arbuzov.

He also instructed the Interior Ministry to ensure law and order during the celebration.
