Archbishop Lubomyr Husar of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) expressed his satisfaction with the present leadership of Patriarch Sviatoslav in an interview to Unian.

Archbishop Lubomyr Husar of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) expressed his satisfaction with the present leadership of Patriarch Sviatoslav. “He is younger, more energetic. You can see his efforts, how many trips and vists he makes. I am very pleased. The work he has done has already yielded some fruit. From what I can see, praise God,” said the ex-head of the church in an interview to Unian.net in answer to a question about changes in the church under the new leader.

The ex-head of the church expressed regret that he himself failed to do many things. “I cannot say that everything has been done to catch up. I left many things unfinished. Sometimes, I regret and feel a little ashamed of the fact that I did not manage to do more. And I sincerely hope that Patriarch Lubomyr will manage to do that, for he is willing. But it will not happen in one day,” said Archbishop Lubomyr.

He also stated that it is good for him to share the same house with the present primate.

“We are very different as far as our age, character, origin are concerned. But the important things is that we try to serve the same cause,” said Archbishop Lubomyr.
