Cabinet of Ministers To Pass 20 Hectares of Land to Sviati Hory National Park

The Cabinet of Ministers allowed the National Natural Park Holy Mountains [Sviati Hory] to develop a project of land management to allocate to the park a land plot of 20 Hectares intended for forestry purposes in the Sloviansk District of Donetsk Region.

The Cabinet of Ministers allowed the National Natural Park Holy Mountains [Sviati Hory] to develop a project of land management to allocate to the park a land plot of 20 Hectares intended for forestry purposes in the Sloviansk District of Donetsk Region.  

This is stipulated by the Cabinet’s Order 38 “On granting the permission to develop a project of land management with regard to allocation of a land plot,” reported UNIAN-religion.

It is planned to transfer the plot to the permanent use of the park.

The park includes 129 archeological objects and 73 historic monuments.  In 1980, a state historic and cultural reserve was established in the territory of the park.  

The main monument of the reserve is the Sviati Hory Monastery established in the 14-16th cc and located on the rocky bank of Siverskyi Donets river.   

The town of Sloviansk is located next to the park.
