Caritas-Italy to provide aid to ATO victims

The fact that Caritas Italy will be involved in the projects implemented within Caritas Ukraine’s program in the East of the country, including for the ATO victims,was referred toon October 31, during the meeting of Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Holy See Tetyana Izhevska, Archbishop Kenneth (Nowakowski), Bishop of New Westminster of the UGCC with Head of the International Cooperation Department of Caritas Italy Paolo Becegato.

It should be noted that Archbishop Kenneth (Nowakowski) is the founder of the charitablefoundation Caritas Ukraine.

The issue of existing prosthetic needs of the citizens who participated in the ATO and have lost functionality of their extremities was raised during the meeting.

The representative of Caritas Italy promised to assist in establishing contacts with the charitableorganizationMedicus Mundi, which focuses on overseas supply of medical equipment, including prosthetics means. It was agreed to continue cooperation in this area,as reported by Catholic Observer.
