With the blessing of Metropolitan Volodymyr, the Primate of the Georgian Orthodox Church was accompanied by Metropolitan of Vinnytsia and Mohyliov-Podilsky of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Mykola Azarov thanked the distinguished guests for the visit and spoke about the current state of the church-state relations in the country. The politician stressed that the state does not interfere with the internal affairs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but only trying to help and promote, within his competence in all good initiatives.
The Georgian Patriarch thanked the Government for the warm welcome and invoked the God's blessing on them.
