Christian Democrats Demand to Restore Utility Tariff Benefits for Religious Organizations

A group of Ukrainian deputies of the Christian Democratic Union Party sent a letter to Ukraine’s Premier, Mykola Azarov with a request to restore the utility tariff benefits for religious organizations.

A group of Ukrainian deputies of the Christian Democratic Union Party sent a letter to Ukraine’s Premier, Mykola Azarov with a request to restore the utility tariff benefits for religious organizations which were cancelled by the Gov ernment’s Resolution 869 of 01.06.2011.

The address was signed by Ukrainian deputies, David Zhvania, Volodymyr Stretovych, Oksana Bilozir, Kateryna Lukianova, Volodymyr Marushchenko and Serhii Kharovskyi. So reported the Institute For Religious Freedom

The deputies reminded that Ukraine’s President V. Yanukovych during the meeting with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations on 21 April, 2011 stated that  “the state policy is aimed to create favourable conditions for the activity of religious organizations.”
