In Bucha, over 50 houses, a kindergarten, and a church were damaged due to Russia's night attack on August 8. Cleanup efforts continue following the enemy shelling.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Facebook posts by Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk and Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (RMA) Mykola Kalashnik.

According to the mayor, owners of 52 private houses have reported varying degrees of damage.

In the Melnyky microdistrict, both a kindergarten and the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Pochaivska” sustained damage.

“These are places where children would come every day, where people would gather for prayer and hope,” the mayor of Bucha remarked.

The head of the RMA stated that the houses suffered various levels of damage, ranging from broken windows and doors to almost complete destruction.

“Approximately 50 private houses, a church, farm buildings, garages, two unfinished high-rise buildings, a dormitory, a kindergarten building, and 10 cars were affected. To address the consequences, we are providing the necessary materials from the regional reserve for repairs and to cover the damages,” he added.
