To resolve this issue, speakers appointed by the Holy Synod were invited to participate in the work of the Synod, who will present their views on the recognition of the new Ukrainian Autocephalous Church by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.

As previously reported, the two Synodal commissions of the Church of Greece, which were authorized to study this issue, concluded that the recognition of the OCU is required.

In addition, representatives of the Orthodox Church of Greece took part in the Divine Liturgy on the 1031th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, which suggests that the Church of Greece actually recognized the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
