On December 4, in the Ukrainian House, the National Council on the Protection of Children’s Rights was held with the participation of representatives of the churches in Ukraine. The event was led by Ukraine’s president and was also attended by the top officials of the central and local authorities, representatives of the presidential administration, the Office of the Public Prosecutor General, the local self-government as well as international organizations and religious denominations, reported.
The participants discussed problems of the protection of children’s rights, reforms in the field of education, health care, social protection of children, protection of rights of children with special educational and medical needs, orphans, children in conflict with the law.
