On August 9, the Economic Court of Kyiv recognized the lawful termination of the agreement for free use between the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (Men's Monastery) of the UOC-MP and the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra."

This pertains to the facilities of the Lower Lavra, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

Thus, the Economic Court of Kyiv rejected the plaintiff's demands made by the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra of the UOC-MP. This religious organization had sought to continue using cultic buildings and other properties that are state-owned.

As reported, during an inspection, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy identified several breaches of the agreement between the UOC and the reserve, which served as grounds for its termination.

The reserve unilaterally terminated the Agreement on Free Use of Property with the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (Men's Monastery) on March 29, 2023. The termination of the Agreement was stipulated by the conditions outlined within it.

"The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine expresses gratitude to the court for the impartial consideration of the case and the decision made in the interests of the Ukrainian people!" states the announcement.
