Overnight on March 2nd, Russian forces shelled Odesa with drones, hitting a multi-story building. As a consequence of the shelling, one entrance of the building was destroyed. The press service of the head of the regional administration reported that seven people were killed in the attack.

Under the rubble of the multi-story building were Anna Haydarzhi and her 4-month-old son Timofiy, the daughter and grandson of Mykola Sidak, the pastor of the Peresyp Baptist Church in Odesa, as reported by Roman Medyanyk, a Pentecostal minister and volunteer, on his Facebook page.

Being in another room, Anna's husband, Serhiy, and daughter miraculously survived.

By Saturday evening, the bodies of Anna and her son were found under the rubble of the building. "They were found... she holds the baby in her arms... we pray for her husband and parents... it's impossible to bear... if only with God's help," wrote Roman Medyanyk.
