Design Competition for Monument to Andrey Sheptytsky Announced

At a press conference on March 30, 2010, in the Lviv City Hall, the all-Ukrainian competition for the best idea for a monument to Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky was announced.

LVIV — At a press conference on March 30, 2010, in the Lviv City Hall, the all-Ukrainian competition for the best idea for a monument to Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky was announced. The participants are to submit their conceptions for the statue by July 1, 2010, reports the press service of the Lviv Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

This is the first stage of the competition when the work team will review the sketches and select the best ones of which the best will be selected in the second round on September 16, 2010.

The participants are to use the plot at the Square of St. George including the public garden in front of the Lviv Polytechnic National University for their sketches.
