Yet another container of medical devices was received by patients of Dnipropetrovsk military hospital. It contains things needed for operations and resuscitation, says RISU journalist Sofia Bogutska.
People work actively in the hospital yard. All packages must be transferred to pharmaceutical warehouse. Hospital workers are aided by institution patients - Ukrainian soldiers who are much stronger. Yevhen, one of them says:“It's our guys! We have to help!”
They are unloading a cherry-colored van, in particular, Bishop of the Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith in Ternopol region Vitaliy Yatsyuk. Together with his brothers in faith, hetraveled all night in order to deliver the goods to Dnipropetrovsk next day. It contains dozens of packages that Ukrainian Pentecostals from the US state of New York have collected.
“We have brought medical and surgical equipment, American medicines. When we unloaded it, the doctors said that those were the right things. I do not know the complete list of what was there,” says presbiter Vitaliy Yatsyuk.
First the faithful decided to bring aid to Dnipropetrovsk. Here, in their opinion, the most of soldiers are stayingwho need care. In addition, last year the clergy from Ternopil saw that for themselves, as the aid was brought here as well.
The faithful were ready to pass two mobile X-ray machines to the Military Hospital. However, it turned out that this equipment had already been there. Local doctors advised to take these devices to military field hospitals closer to the front line. There they are more necessary.
Bishop Vitaly Yatsyuk of Ternopil Pentecostal Association saysthey will do it. Moreover, the priests have repeatedly been at the forefront. Overall they have brought there nearly 40 tons of products. “We have a lot of medicines and send them to frontline–to Luhansk, Donetsk region. One day I even got under fire near Horlivka together with my assistant, but God miraculously saved us. We brought food, clothing military, shoes and stoves,” the clergyman shares his memories.
For the next few days all the donated medical supplies in will be sorted out at Dnipropetrovsk military hospital and sent to the departments. There are four of them.
