Ecumenical March for Peace and Prosperity of Ukraine to Be Held in Odesa

An ecumenical march will be held on the streets of Odesa on April 13. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the Apostle Paul, known by the inhabitants of Odesa as “kirkha.”

Participants will march by several Christian churches and synagogues and will stop by each of them. The website of the group “Reconciliation” reports that at each stop ministers will say a short speech and lead a prayer in different languages ​​for the peace and prosperity of Ukraine and Odesa.

At the front of the column will be the Ukrainian flag, followed by flags of Odesa and of nations that represent the multicultural population. Exclusively Odesa symbols will be used during the march. Other religious, party, government, and other symbols will not be used during the event. Organizers of the march urge participants to dress in the national costumes of their people.

The march was initiated by the interchurch group ‘Reconciliation” and the Christian Spiritual Council of Odesa and Odesa Oblast.
