Ecumenical Patriarch meets Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens

On Monday, November 25, 2024, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew met with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the Maximos Mansion in Athens.

The Patriarch was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Office in Athens; Archbishop Makarios of Australia; and the Grand Ecclesiarch Aetios, Director of the Patriarch’s Private Office.

The meeting underlined the close relationship between the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Hellenic Republic, reflecting their shared commitment to promoting faith, culture, and dialogue on critical issues affecting Orthodox Christians and the wider global community.
