Based on SBU materials, the Metropolitan of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC-MP, who had repeatedly called on believers to incite religious hatred, was served another notice of suspicion.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU Office in the Cherkasy region.
Despite the suspicions, Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy is once again involved in inciting interfaith hatred between believers in Ukraine. While under house arrest, the hierarch actively maintains pages on social networks. He posted destructive materials on the YouTube channel of the website of the Cherkasy Diocese of the UOC-MP and the Facebook page of the religious institution.
His video messages were aimed at creating the preconditions for interfaith strife.
It should be noted that this is the fifth suspicion of anti-Ukrainian activities for the Metropolitan.
Based on the evidence, he was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the equality of citizens based on their religious beliefs). Another preventive measure for the Metropolitan is currently being decided.
