It is reported that at first the pilgrims arrived via the state border with Poland, and recently they are entering at Mukachevo and Chop checkpoints. 

"Since September 6, 229 Hasidic pilgrims have arrived in Ukraine. Their number will increase from September 20, " the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.

It is worth noting that the celebration of the Jewish New year will last from September 29 to October 1. More than 30 thousand pilgrims are expected to arrive from all over the world. 

As RISU has already reported, about 30 thousand Hasidic pilgrims are expected to arrive in Ukraine to celebrate the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah. In the period from September 23 to October 4, the units of Cherkasy garrison will serve in the intensive mode, and a medically equipped helicopter of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will be involved to solve the issues of emergency air transport.

In should be noted that every year in Uman the pilgrimage of Jews who are followers of Bratslav Hasidism (one of the currents in Hasidic Judaism), to the grave of their spiritual leader — tsaddik Nachman take place.
