The former head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Lubomyr (Husar), praised the meeting in Kyiv between Moscow Patriarch Kirill and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

The former head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Lubomyr (Husar), praised the meeting in Kyiv between Moscow Patriarch Kirill and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.

"As there is political tension between Russia and Georgia, the two heads could only meet on neutral territory," he said on Radio Svoboda.

"Ukraine is being presented as a neutral territory, as a territory that has its own face, its own identity, is not conquered by anyone. I think this is a very interesting and nice moment for us," said Patriarch Lubomyr.
