Funds allocated to renovate one of Lviv’s oldest churches

Renovation will begin on one of Lviv’s oldest churches – the 13th-century St. John the Baptist Church. It is believed that King Lev’s wife, Constance prayed in this shrine.

ZAXID.NET reports that during today’s briefing Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi said that 700 thousand UAH have been allocated from the city budget to replace the roof and waterproof the foundation. Contracting organization Stela will carry out the work. They plan to finish by September.

Several other churches will also be renovated this year, including the courtyard of the Armenian church.
