Government Reduces Utility Tariffs for Churches

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reduced the utility tariffs for churches and religious organizations.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reduced the utility tariffs for churches and religious organizations. The editorial staff of the Christian portal invictory.org were told so by representatives of the press-service of a Ukrainian deputy, Pavlo Unhurian.

The Cabinet of Ministers passed the resolution envisaging the same utility tariffs for the churches and religious organizations as for the general population on 25 November.

An inter-factional deputy group For Spirituality, morality and health of Ukraine led by Pavlo Unhurian initiated the solution to the question of the reduction of the utility tariffs for churches and religious organizations for several months.

The Cabinet of Ministers earlier cancelled the decision of the previous government to reduce the tariffs for religious organizations.

The situation was closely monitored by the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations and some deputies of the parliament. So reported religion.in.ua.
