Head of UGCC to make a pastoral visit to Prague

On March 7-9, Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk, head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, will stay with a pastoral visit in Prague (Czech Republic). During his visit, His Beatitude Sviatoslav is to meet with spiritual leaders and senior officials of the Czech Republic.

On March 7, the head of the UGCC is to meet with Bishop Ladislav Hučko, Apostolic Exarch of the GCC in the Czech Republic and Fr. Tomas Halik, a famous Czech philosopher, professor at Charles University. Also on this day the patriarch will attend the service at the Cathedral of St. Clement.

On the second day of his visit, March 8, patriarch will visit the Embassy of Ukraine in the Czech Republic will also meet with Lubomír Zaorálek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Head of the Church will deliver the evening lecture at the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University.

On the last day of the visit, March 9, hierarch of the Church will have talks with MEP Pavel Svoboda and Czech statesman Karel Schwarzenberg. It was reported by the Information Department of the UGCC.
