On March 21, 2010, the chairman of the Synodal Missionary Department of the UOC-MP, Archbishop Philip of Myrhorod and Poltava, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Orthodox church dedicated to the Holy Hierarch Ambrose of Milan in Milan, Italy.
UKRAINE-ITALY - On March 21, 2010, the chairman of the Synodal Missionary Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Archbishop Philip of Myrhorod and Poltava, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Orthodox church dedicated to the Holy Hierarch Ambrose of Milan in Milan, Italy. Concelebrating with him was rector of the parish archpriest Mykola Makar. Many diaspora parishioners received the Holy Communion that day, reports the web site of the UOC-MP.
The day before, on March 20, upon completion of the All-Night Vigil the hierarch met with the rector of the Church of Sts. Sergius of Radonezh, Seraphim of Sarov and Vincent of Saragossa in Milan, hegumen Dimitrii Fantini, and the church parishioners.
The same day at the Orthodox parish of St. Ambrose of Milan an academic theological seminar was held dedicated to the issue of "Orthodox Family in Diaspora." At the blessing of Metropolitan Volodymyr and at the invitation of the church rector Mykola Makar taking part in the seminar was chairman of the Missionary Synodal Department of the UOC-MP, Archbishop Philip of Myrhorod and Poltava. At the seminar the hierarch delivered a report.
Also, on March 21 he met with Counsel General of Ukraine to Italy Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi.
